Are you ready for the exclusive…

Yet another stunning collection by Georgine! The rich hues, luxe fabrics and plush coats were everything this season. Fall/winter showcases a sense of sophistication with an edge from head to toe. She's definitely a designer I never miss and is always a favorite of mine...season after season.

 More about the collection:
The inspiration for the GEORGINE Fall/Winter 2017 collection comes from permanent hotel dwellers, those glamorous creatures that have called the world’s most interesting properties home. Ranging from Coco Chanel’s suite at The Ritz and Oscar Wilde’s chambers at Hotel d’Alsace, to Howard Hughes bungalow at The Beverly Hills Hotel, and Edie Sedgwick’s room at The Chelsea Hotel, the transient energy of a chic enclave fueled their creativity and made everyday feel like a permanent vacation.

GEORGINE is always a favorite of mine and I'm lucky enough to be able to have a close up view each season as the collection debuts. The upcoming SS17 line is full of sass, rock and roll and effortless chicness in the every ensemble. I loved seeing the designs that had Halloween-esque elements. Personally, every year I wish I had something to wear that was chic and not costumey to wear during the day in October. Also loving the bold greens, yellows and reds the collection featured. Each look inspires confidence and a fierce catwalk strut!

More about the Collection:
For Spring/Summer 2017, Georgine Ratelband, designer of GEORGINE, was inspired by the type of girl who shops at Bergdorf Goodman AND Trash & Vaudeville. “I think it is a more interesting concept of dressing, one where luxury goods coexist with Rock t-shirts, intricate Couture beading meets motorcycle jackets and lightweight furs are punctuated by combat boots,” remarked Ratelband.

Keeping that in mind, Ratelband also drew inspiration from the way that young women always pilfer the closets of their mothers, and how they would wear more classic pieces, but with their own twist put on it. Specifically, Frances Bean Cobain and Zoe Kravitz, who have mothers with the most incredible closets, came to mind for Ratelband when designing this collection.

GEORGINE Fall 2016 collection was overflowing with lux fabrics, bold hues and exquisite furs! One of the main reasons I always look forward to her show each season are the ever so chic coats; I'm truly obsessed. There was a mix of fun flirty looks as well as wild side and mystery capturing all sides of femme characters which happened to be the theme. I'm going with sultry and mysterious, which one are you?

More about the collection:

Dreams do come true…just not always how you imagined them to. For Fall/Winter 2016, GEORGINE is inspired by the works of The Brother Grimm and the long time struggle between the good and the evil found in Fairy Tales. She wanted to re-imagine the traditional princesses, heroes and villains of the stories we have all grown up with but modernize them for the 21st Century. “What would Cinderella wear to a ball in this day and age?” wondered GEORGINE designer Georgine Ratelband, “Would Snow White wear an embroidered leather motorcycle jacket when she escaped to the woods? These were my thoughts as I sought to create my own modern day fairy tale.” Other classic characters like Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel and villains such as The Evil Queen all get modern day makeovers in this collection.

Right in the middle of this past fashion week season I had a wedding in Michigan, leaving me no choice but to cut down the number of shows I'd be able to attend. Luckily GEORGINE wasn't one of them, I always look forward to seeing their fun filled colorful clothes and accessories collection each season. This SS16 collection kept that trend alive and going strong. I found myself drawn to the blues, purples and yellows, not surprising since those tend to be my favorite colors. Although this was for spring and summer GEORGINE still kept the fur as a key style on the runway along with leather. By keeping both elements in pastel colors they preserved and exuded that easy breezy vibe that the warmer weather brings.

More about the collection:
For Spring/Summer 2016, GEORGINE wanted to break traditional dressing protocols and defy the conventional approach of how people normally dress. For instance, leathers are treated in pastels in lieu of the mainstream rugged dark treatment, French laces are cut into sweatshirts and active wear, and spandex is celebrated in eveningwear. The results are subtle and surprising and inline with the Internet age where nothing is ever as it seems.

One of the shows I'm always looking forward to is GEORGINE. For the upcoming fall/winter 2015 collection it was a parade of luxe 70s looks from the models heads to their feet! The show had so much energy and when you thought it was over, their were another set of models draped in fabulous furs. The collection was full of rich jewel tone hues mixed in with some metallics and of course some timeless black ensembles.

Designer Georgine Ratelband continues to wow me with her beautiful creations. Each season her collections increase in beauty and really showcase what New York Fashion Week is all about: beauty and glam of course. The styling is always executed flawlessly, it transports you directly into the setting of her inspiration.

Another stunning show by Georgine! The Spring/Summer 2015 Collection delivered beachside sophistication directly to New York Fashion Week. Inspired by the glamorous demimonde who descended onto Saint-Tropez during the summers of the 1970's, the collection consisted of luxurious golds, rich creams, shimmering metallics and fresh mint. Looks were accessorized with mink tote bags and beach towels as well as leather clutches in the shape of surfboards in collaboration with Max Steiner Design. GEORGINE has crafted gorgeous bathing suit inspired evening wear, elegant beaded chiffon caftans and trench coats worthy of a stroll down both the boardwalk and Fifth avenue alike.

Throughout the show I saw so many pieces that I need for my closet and daydreamed of the various places I'd love to travel and debut these amazing creations by designer Georgine Ratelband. Below are some of my favorite looks. I had a problem narrowing it down, so I picked 12. Each collage shows different elements throughout the show with color, accessories, separates, dresses, and swimwear. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

First time experiencing the alluring qualities of Georgine and I'm hooked. This show had so many great pieces to offer head to toe! The coats were breathtaking especially paired with those beautiful gloves. Overall the collection looked very luxe with a swag appeal, nothing was boring. Another snow storm is on its way, I wish I had a Georgine coat to keep me warm! Hope you guys like my top looks from the collection as much as I do.
