Red Carpet: The 2015 Golden Globes Fashion Recap

Last night the 72nd Annual Golden Globes aired bringing out the best of tv and cinema stars to bring their fashion A game to the red carpet! The most popular trends had to be white, red, and metallic. It almost seemed as though there was a dress code that everyone was following. Let's get started with who looked amazing last night then progress to who could have took more time on their gown choice.

My favorites of the night...

Sienna Miller in Mui Mui
I loved this dressed it. It was different from the rest, fun and looked even better on screen. Most importantly...she looked comfortable in it; it wasn't wearing her.

Jessica Chastain in Atelier Versace
This is what a movie star looks like! The hair, the make up and the color of the dress all go so well together. I'm into it!

Kate Hudson in Versace
She looks amazing! Makes me want to get on her workout plan immediately, of course paired with her fabletics line.

 Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Her tan is a bit too orange, but besides that she looks exquisite! Not surprised at all.

Julianne Moore in Givenchy Couture
She is always someone I look forward to seeing on the red carpet. Always stylish, fun and with class!

 Dakota Johnson in Chanel
This is 50 shades of silver and I'm into it. I like the intricate cutting technique for the bottom. Looks fun and flirty.

Diane Kruger in Emilia Wickstead
I love this, absolute perfection in the fit and the styling! She rarely disappoints.

Lorde in Narciso Rodriguez
Not usually a fan of Lorde's outfits but she nailed it this time without losing herself. Love the pulled back hair, red lip & crop top. It all looks fresh somehow...

Allison Williams in Armani Privé
Now we all know that Allison can look pretty, but boring. This dress is beautiful (you have to see it on screen), but I'm not crazy about the hair. Something is off about it.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Carolina Herrera
Yellow is one of my favorite colors and this was the right shade and the non-shiny material makes it a winner!

And now who could have used some help....

 Claire Danes in Valentino
I loathe this dress, it does nothing for her and worse yet its not flattering. Ugh

Jennifer Aniston in Saint Laurent
Sigh, I'm so bored with this! It looks like a dress anyone can get in a mall, but they wouldn't even buy it. It looks like a 90s prom dress.

 Kate Mara in Mui Mui
Also boring and the belt confuses me. Why is it there, why in that color, why that style...you see what I mean.

Keira Knightly in Chanel
Being pregnant doesn't mean you have to look this terrible. I can't believe Chanel made this, it's absolutely terrible.

 Kerry Washington in Mary Katrantzou
She's usually on of my faves and I want so badly to like this but it's just not working. Maybe if it was shorter and less bell shaped it would work but even then it still wouldn't be right for this award show. However, I do like that it is different from all the other dresses we saw last night.

Lana Del Rey in vintage Travilla
Even Ariel in the little mermaid looked better than this. I don't understand why she thought this was the best she could do. Makes no sense whatsoever!

 Lena Dunham in Zac Posen
Sigh, she never gets it quite right. I do like the hair, make up and shoes. I wish the dress was fitted better and a different fabric wouldn't hurt either.

Melissa McCarthy in clothes from her closet (not kidding)
So I read she literally looked in her closet and sewed items together. I guess 'A' for effort?

Tina Fey custom Antonio Berardi
Soooooooooooo bad on so many levels. She needs a real friend or perhaps a real stylist. You should look a million times better than this when you're hosting the show (no exaggeration)!

Zosia Mamet in Andrew Gn
Welcome to frump city! Head to toe no bueno. Hair color washes her out and makes her look older and the dress looks slapped together and the color blocking doesn't work. Sorry not sorry
