The new addition to the Bobby Van's Steakhouse family is new comer BV's Grill! The speciality of BV's Grill is new American and classic steakhouse fare. Less formal than the original, but maintains its elegance in the decor with a more approachable vibe. Spacious bar and dining areas for large crowds and large front patio space for those wanting to dine al fresco before the cold is upon us.
The grand opening was packed with relatives, friends and press enjoying cocktails, wine and numerous hors d'oeuvres served on grand trays. Below in my second collage you can see some of the passed appetizers that were absolutely delicious. I had a lovely time catching up with friends over glasses of wine on my birthday eve and partaking in the grand opening celebration. The location is the perfect spot in Midtown for business meetings or meet ups after work. Oh and they have a tasty brunch menu, plus it's only a few blocks south from 59th street. Brunch with friends and burn it off with some shopping cardio! They have something for everyone from beef to seafood, pasta, wings, brunch and cafe options. Take a look at there website to view more about BV's Grill and to make your reservation today!

New restaurant with a downstairs private lounge, Washington Market Tavern is the new Tribeca hot spot! I had the pleasure of coming for a networking event and decided to stay for dinner with my roomie. I had so many great things about the menu while I was there that I couldn't pass up trying some of the menu items for myself. What's unique about Washington Market Tavern is that the menu is ever changing based on what is in season(being that it is a farm to table restaurant) and what inspires the chef. Also not a bad way to keep customers coming back for new tasty meal options.
They have a delicious array of cocktails and fun facts. Each signature cocktail has the name and date of the first cocktail pioneer that invented it. I chose The Font cocktail and it was nothing short of amazing! Bourbon is growing on me with its huge comeback in the cocktail world and the fact that my roommate is from Kentucky, haha. Besides that The Font is more than a drink its an experience; they light cloves and trap the smoke for it to release when you uncover it table side before your first sip!
As for dinner we decided to share three items: the heirloom tomato salad, the maine lobster with squash and zucchini and the amish chicken (cooked 2 ways). I can't describe how delicious everything was and how the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. We finished it all! Freshest, tastiest tomatoes I've ever had and who doesn't love lobster especially when there's an ample amount. Before I say this you need to know that I'm not a chicken fan (i know, insert gasp). I say this because its rarely extraordinary which makes me feel like whats the point in ordering it. I'd rather have something extra scrumptious. But the Amish chicken at Washington Market Tavern was juicy and cooked perfectly seared on one side making the skin extra crispy. I understand why it was highly recommended. We were too stuffed to get dessert sadly. Definitely plan to go back for the deconstructed s'more, I heard its similar to the presentation of The Font cocktail in terms of the smoke presentation.
Since this wasn't a planned restaurant review, I didn't have my DSLR camera. So please excuse the quality of my iPhone pics, lol. Everyone knows the camera in low-lighting isn't that great.
The Font (left): bourbon (I chose Larceny), sweet vermouth, oloroso sherry, maple syrup, Angostura bitters, clove smoke. - Larceny on the rocks on the right -

Not to brag….but Ole Smoky Moonshine Master Distiller Justin King and Outback Steakhouse invited me to their exclusive first taste of Outback's new Moonshine BBQ menu and cocktails earlier this month! Everyone knows I love testing out new menu dishes and the fact that it was barbecue made it that much better! Living in NYC its hard to have access or the space to grill, so why not let Outback do all the hard work. This press preview included 4 new dishes and 1 dessert. Each item was so delicious, if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be the Moonshine BBQ Ribs! The meat was so tender and juicy, the best part was that it practically fell off the bone! The runner up for food would have to be the Moonshine BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, I still daydream about both of them! And the Skillet Apple Pie was scrumptious due to the ample crunch from the crust and the topping! As for my favorite of the 3 cocktails, I loved the Just Peachee! Its made with Georgia Moon Peach Mooneshine, Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey and peach puree mixed with apple and orange juices with a cinnamon sugar rim (Yum)!

An evening at AppetitO RistorantE with one of my NY besties was just what the doctor ordered. After the madness of New York Fashion Week, its great to relax and catch up over an appetizing meal and tasty cocktails. This Italian gem is located in mid-town only one block south of Bryant Park. As soon as you enter you can feel the warmth of the atmosphere with the dark wood, exposed brick and beautiful portraits.
We decided to start the night with cocktails, which is always the start of a good night! As we sipped on these delicious martinis (mine was the espresso, I needed caffeine asap) we began to peruse the menu trying to narrow down what starters should we order. The winners were the Crostini de Mozzarella (fried mozzarella in tomato sauce, tasted like heaven) & grilled calamari (it was one of the specials, not sure of the Italian name; but equally delicious). After the two we decided to take a break (with wine) before entree time. Up next we decided to share a small plate of the fontina tortellini (other one of the night's specials) along with the Petto di Pollo Appetito (bestie) and my dish Risotto ai Frutti di Mare! One of my favorite dishes is risotto and I love seafood, absolutely the perfect choice for me. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the chicken dish, it was juicy and flavorful. The night can't end without a dessert or at least a cappacino, I'm all about dessert, so I shared the tiramisu and he got a cappacino. The ultimate ending to an exquisite meal.

We arrived on the Hamptons Jitney welcomed by an array of classic antique cars and lemonade stand. We strutted down the red carpet as we entered the venue. Once inside, guests enjoyed tastings from the Delmonico's of Southampton Est. 1837 menu, like Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, Lobster Newburg, mini Baked Alaska Ice Cream Cones, and freshly shucked oysters from the raw bar. They paired delicious cocktails, bubbling champagnes and refreshing chilled wines served with all the tasty bites we sampled. The oysters were exquisite and so fresh. The craved meat was cooked perfectly and my favorite dish of the afternoon, the bacon wrapped scallops! I literally had to lean back in my chair because they were so unbelievable! I fully understand why their known for their baked Alaska; so good, especially on a hot sunny day.
