Last week, I had the pleasure to stop by the new Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa location at Chelsea Piers. The Paul Labrecque brand is known for amazing quality and treatments that will make you feel beautiful. I went in for a facial and a massage and I never felt better (seriously)! Sasha was my esthetician she chose a deep cleansing facial for my skin type. Somehow my face has the mysterious and miraculous ability to be dry and oily at the same time, lol. I absolutely loved this facial and my skin looked luminous right after. Usually with facials (especially after extractions) your skin can be splotchy and red, but not this time! Sasha used a micro current technique on my skin which helps with cleansing pores and killing bacteria to help the skin reset after the extraction process. When I left the spa I got so many compliments on my skin, so I definitely plan to go back! Now onto the massage; my masseuse Felicia was excellent! I had a wonderful and soothing 60min general massage (partially deep tissue). I'm not a massage person typically, but my neck and shoulders were really bothering me (always carrying my laptop, camera & sometimes spare heels probably doesn't help). After the massage I felt so much better, I even felt like I had better posture! There are 4 Paul Labrecque Salon & Spas around the city, but what sets this one apart if you schedule a service for $75+ you have free access to the sports center. That means come early and take a fitness class, use the pool, sauna or simply use the cardio and weight training equipment. For more info and prices see website here.

It was a lace affair at the Yuna Yang fashion show in the NASDQ Market Site. The collection titled: Close Your Eyes & See the World, features a foundation of French chantelle lace with modern touches of Japanese polka dots. What I loved about this line was the very delicate and detailed fabric in the icy blues and winter whites. I also loved the hairstyling, braids and buns are still all the rage! I made sure to take a couple close ups for me to try to recreate at home.
Tomorrow, March 12th many curly girls around the New York area will be rejoicing that Miss Jessie's CurlBar is officially open for business. Not many know, but I have that "Sister Sister" texture hair, which is beautiful, but I find it hard to prevent frizz and keep moisturized in the winter. With Miss Jessie's products I'm singing a different tune. I've been itching to switch up my look this spring/summer. So it's going back to showcasing my natural hair texture! I will be sporting my curls for days thanks to theses luxurious hair products. No more having the fear of looking nice in the morning and slowly (or quickly depending on the weather) morphing into a frizz ball. The CurlBar offers quick service with great affordable prices, Monday thru Friday at their new Soho location. Not only will they help tame and bring out the beauty of your curls, kinks or waves; they also offer straightening options. They're cleverly named "smooth operator," "whip my curl" or "uptown girl." Go to www.missjessiescurlbar.com to make your appointment now!
