This was my second time having the privilege of experiencing Saiid Kobeisy's brillance. Yet another exquisite collection that is full of inspiration and immaculate details that would take countless hours to execute and to admire. This collection is named Rebirth and was perfectly named for seeing in the beginning moments of 2026 even though the collection is for spring/summer. Above is probably my favorite of the pieces I saw and seeing it move in the light on the model with the shoes to match was truly a spectacle of delight!

Behold Iron Sakura: where poetry dons armor and beauty wields a blade. In this daring couture saga, Lena Erziak dances between the silken whispers of cherry blossoms and the razor-sharp lines of Parisian steel.
On a pilgrimage to Japan—her little son trailing behind like a curious shadow—Lena fell under the spell of petals that drift like sonnets and return with warrior’s resolve. She whispered to the ghosts of post-war Paris and found in their elegant façades a perfect partner to Japan’s time-honed craftsmanship. Thus sprang Iron Sakura: a love letter stitched in brocade and rebellion.Channeling the bold curves of Jacques Fath’s legendary bullet-bra silhouette, Lena sculpts an hourglass that doesn’t just flatter—it commands attention. Bodices spike skyward like temple roofs; hips bloom into statuesque arcs; every seam is a rallying cry for fierce femininity. Here, softness isn’t a concession—it’s a hidden weapon.
In Kyoto, geishas drift past in silk kimonos, and samurai shadows linger in moonlit courtyards. Lena fused their disciplines into her designs: ceremonial folds that guard like armor and silhouettes that stand firm under scrutiny. Nothing flows aimlessly; every pleat, every panel is intentional, resolute.
But it’s the fabrics that tell the truest tales. Lena scoured antique kimono treasures—whispers of centuries woven in silk and brocade—then breathed new life into them. On each gown, sakura blossoms erupt in embroidery, capturing spring’s fleeting burst of color and the unbreakable will of nature itself.
Iron Sakura salutes the women who bend with grace but snap back like steel springs—who slip into softness as effortlessly as donning a crown, and carry history’s fire in every fold. Here, in this couture realm, poetry meets power, and beauty masters strength.
In this collection, faux-fur trims swirl like freshly fallen snowflakes, while crystal-studded embroidery and shimmering accessories capture the fantastic geometry of frost-laced branches and frozen lakes. Each exquisite detail is painstakingly handcrafted by InClover’s talented seamstresses—true winter artisans in their own right.
The fabric choices are poetic too: sequined earthen browns evoke rain-soaked soil peeking through melting drifts; smoky gray sequins layered under cloudy tulle conjure the hush of a fog-bound lake; and soft blush pink hints at the mystical twilight sky just before dawn’s first snowfall. Gaziza’s favorite material, lace, takes center stage—woven with beads and glass pearls that sparkle like crystalline hoarfrost.And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance: a bride’s crown of handcrafted “ice icicles” so lifelike that even the Snow Queen herself would nod in regal approval.

Empress Theodora Takes Paris by Storm: From Ancient Stones to Silk Runways
Paris, July 7, 2025 – Beneath the soaring arches of the American Cathedral, history and haute couture collided in a dazzling homage to Empress Theodora. Serbian visionary Mia Kostov reanimated the legendary spirit of Caričin Grad—Justiniana Prima—transforming Byzantine grandeur into a breathtaking fashion saga.
Glinting gold thread met futuristic flair as Kostov’s line drew on the power of imperial mosaics and the hushed majesty of a city built by Justinian for his beloved. The result? A wardrobe that dances beyond yesterday and tomorrow—an eternal style statement.
More than a showstopper, this was Serbia’s glorious re-entrance onto Europe’s cultural center stage. Amid cheers, organizers revealed that Justiniana Prima will star in a documentary destined for the Louvre’s new Byzantine Pavilion (opening 2026), inviting the world to unearth Southern Serbia’s archaeological gems—and its vibrant design legacy.
“Theodora wasn’t just history—she’s every woman who rules her realm with poise,” Kostov declared post-show. “This collection celebrates her fire—and Serbia’s. Bold, radiant, unshakably proud.”
Every stitch told a story: stone-carved emblems melting into sumptuous silk, ancient echoes woven into modern silhouettes. From Lebane’s hidden ruins to Parisian catwalks, Byzantine mystique has surged back to life—and onto every fashion lover’s radar.
With Theodora’s indomitable legacy as its muse, this collection proved that empires may crumble, but greatness—and style—are forever.
The collection explores harmony between national roots and the needs of a modern woman who honors the past, while valuing herself. The name TAMYR translates from Kazakh as “root.” It symbolizes a profound connection to cultural heritage, respect for traditions, and their harmonious reinterpretation in fashion. The collection draws parallels between Kazakh artisanal traditions and contemporary trends. Inspiration from Kazakhstan’s rich cultural legacy is evident in its unique textural aesthetics and intricate handcraftsmanship.
TAMYR is not only a tribute to the elders, but inspired by the younger generation, who found a unique Kazakh cultural style in a contemporary context. This concept is expressed through the combination of sophisticated modern tailoring with ethnic nuances, reflected in the collection’s textures, colors, and celebratory spirit, reminiscent of “toi” (Kazakh festivities).
The designer Gaziza Shabdarbayeva envisions the brand’s mission as a harmonious fusion of past and present.

The collection is composed of silk gazar, silk organza, duchess satin, Calais lace, brocade, and silk crepe. Notable is the exceptional work of feather artisans who adorned the looks with rooster, goose, and ostrich feathers. All the embroideries are handmade.
In homage to poetic solitude, Lena Erziak invites us to embrace our deepest feelings and find light in the darkness. By celebrating its Melancholia, the house attempts to redefine the codes of beauty and seeks to make us reflect on the importance of emotion in our existence.
The flowers of rebirth and renewal bloom in the tropical garden of La Métamorphose for this spring summer 2021 couture collection.
Light, airy, delicate dresses in which silk, chiffon and embroidered tulles mingle ; hand-cutted petals embellish the shoulders of the evening gowns. The colors are frank, assumed, like the desire to return to recklessness and sweet summer dreams. Like an outbreak, we go from pastel blue, to nude pink, to powder violet, then come fuchsia and royal blue, symbol of rebirth. An assuredly joyful and romantic collection. The collection is made only with fabrics made in France, Ewa and Margaret, the designers, once again underline their attachment to France and to French know-how. The final touch of the collection is the flower organza wedding dress, worn in two versions: a closed flower which opens up thanks to a silk belt and transforms into a long dress. The dress required 100 hours of modeling and 4 weeks of assembly, petal by petal in order to give the result of a blooming flower. Each petal is glazed and strass embroidered in order to give the illusion of the white rose wet by the morning .
The shoes created especially for the collection by Ginissima use the fabrics and colors of the collection.
