Earlier this week I got a chance to get a sneak peek at the new Cat Footwear pop up shop in the Roger Smith Hotel. We celebrated the launch of the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, as well as the return of the brand's original "Colorado" boot from 1990, which will be available again for the first time in the U.S. this Fall season! In keeping with this theme, they brought together 5 NYC-based artists who used the Colorado boot as a blank canvas, and unveiled their one-of-a-kind artworks. I can't believe how each one completely transformed the boots and made then truly into a piece of art! Whether drawing, painting, layering or building materials off of the boot as a foundation, they were remarkable. The featured artists were Ivan Orama, James Gulliver Hancock, Liz Lomax, Amanda Dolan, and Misha Tyutyunik. Models were on hand to showcase the new iterations of the Colorado boot from the AW14 collection, while we enjoyed cocktails and sounds by DJ Jasper Stapleton.
More info about the pop up:
The Pop-Up will be officially open to the public for consumer shopping on October 21st - 28th 11am - 7pm! It will feature 3 limited edition styles from the UK that have never been available to the U.S. consumer. The pop-up will be the first and only place to get these styles, while supplies last.

I recently had the honor of being one of the bloggers chosen for Nine West's Blogger Bootcamp feature! Believe it or not, I'm a bit camera shy, but who could pass up such an amazing opportunity and these fab boots! I chose their Califa boots in red. They turned out to be more of an oxblood shade, making it that much easier to style and be worn in my real-life. As for my outfit I'm wearing some of my fav picks from my own closet. See more images from my shoot and some of the other girls on Nine West's Tumblr.

On October 9th, Cat Footwear held a presentation/ runway show hosted at New York City's oldest whiskey distillery, Kings County Distillery, in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The event was in celebration of the launch of Cat's Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, and to preview their upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 collection. When the guests arrived, they were treated to whiskey tastings led by the distillery's blenders, while DJ Gene provided the soundtrack. A sneak preview of the boots and shoes were on display and sprinkled throughout the distillery, which provided a rustic and industrial backdrop that was very much in line with the Caterpillar brand. As the night went on, the party shifted to the distillery's driveway, where the runway show was held outdoors. The show featured 31 looks from both the men's and women's AW13 and SS14 collections. Cat partnered with Agave Denim, the exclusive apparel sponsor for the show, who provided an urban-utilitarian uniform of denim-on-denim which served as a fantastic palette for highlighting the shoes!

Today, Converse Inc. debuts its Holiday 2013 collections for Chuck Taylor All Star and Jack Purcell. Influenced by the spirit of the season, these collections are infused with warm materials and treatments that are sure to excite any sneaker fan. So get ready for the holidays with Converse! Another collection full of great shoes for men, women & kids. I don't usually wear sneakers, but when I do, I tend to favor the mid-height fold over style. Personally, I like the extra pop of color or pattern the fold down option gives. Hey, even though they're sneakers that doesn't mean I want to lack style or flare! Year after year Converse delivers that with their collaborations, especially with Jack Purcell. Another treat for us at Converse: the self design option on their website to customize your shoes! Enjoy this sneak peek into the holiday collection and get the full view here!
Fly sneaker alert! Jack Purcell & John Varvatos are taking Converse's classic appeal up a notch with new fabrics and designs! I don't wear sneakers often, but when I do they need to have some kind of fun flare and these have just that! Below are the five styles my heart desires…
Both collections have officially launched today! Find where to purchase here on Converse's website

The adorable Kristin Cavallari has teamed up with Chinese Laundry for her own line of shoes. As you can see the new mom has a great eye for design. I love the gold accents, printed heels and flirty wedges. The showroom was huge, I was in shoe heaven! The collections for spring/summer and fall/winter were all out for display. Both Miss USA (Nana Meriwether) & Miss Team USA (Logan West) were there to show their support and check out the fab collection. Chinese Laundry offered manicures, glasses of wine by Stack and a fresh s'more and coffee station. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot chocolate with Baileys as I strolled through the collection. See more on their website!
Get ready for Spring with Ugg! Great accessories and shoes for both men and women. They hosted a fab event at Casa La Femme in the West Village. The party had a Middle Eastern flare making me nostalgic about my year of living in Morocco. My favorite picks from the collection were the high wedge espadrilles, basket weave booties and colorful print clutch bags! For men they had plenty of fashionable sneakers and sleek dress shoes. Ugg really out did themselves with the small bites that I couldn't get enough of from Casa La Femme, palm & tarot card readers, make your own bracelet station and the grand finale, belly dancers!
