Cynthia Rowley decided to switch things up unveiling an arty ultra glam line and contrasting it with a new sport attire collection. For the Arty the runway collection was filled with artful sixties-inspired oversized, graphic prints and clean tailored separates. Bold silhouettes and jumbo lace added to the modish-sportif. As for the Sporty the line displays a variety from work to workout to go out, these pieces offer the freshest take on an active lifestyle. She started with wetsuits and now continues adding fashion to function with cute scalloped running shorts, printed leggings, ripstop coveralls and even a gold plated bike helmet.

Another stunning show by Georgine! The Spring/Summer 2015 Collection delivered
beachside sophistication directly to New York Fashion Week. Inspired
by the glamorous demimonde who descended onto Saint-Tropez during the summers
of the 1970's, the collection consisted of luxurious golds, rich creams, shimmering
metallics and fresh mint. Looks were accessorized with mink tote bags and beach
towels as well as leather clutches in the shape of surfboards in collaboration
with Max Steiner Design. GEORGINE has crafted gorgeous bathing suit inspired
evening wear, elegant beaded chiffon caftans and trench coats worthy of a
stroll down both the boardwalk and Fifth avenue alike.
Throughout the show I saw so many pieces that I need for my closet and daydreamed of the various places I'd love to travel and debut these amazing creations by designer Georgine Ratelband. Below are some of my favorite looks. I had a problem narrowing it down, so I picked 12. Each collage shows different elements throughout the show with color, accessories, separates, dresses, and swimwear. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Loved this collection! The prints and textured fabrics were fantastic. There wasn't a piece I didn't like from beginning to end. It felt like a collection that had something every woman would want to wear and the prints were done so well that the boldness of them were more subtle. The fit and accessories for styling each model were executed flawlessly. Well done Luis Antonio!

MARITIME is an effortless and chic collection inspired by nautical colors and motifs. Luis Antonio combines graphic art and symmetric forms to create unique fabrics for his entire collection. This collection is inspired by all things nautical, but with a twist. Sea workers and shipbuilders have been a main source of inspiration for the the graphic and abstract prints Luis Antonio designed with a team of graphic designers. Silk Organza, Silk Crepe, Silk Gazar, Canvas and Twill will be spotlighted this season to turn traditional nautical elements on their heads. Everyday can be luxurious with his new Spring/Summer collection.

Son Jung Wan's Spring/Summer 2015 collection was inspired by the concept of yin and yang and the idea that contrasting elements do not conflict, but exist in harmony. What was interesting about this collection was the use of fabric and design elements that dress up the ensemble while using a more relaxed fit. I particularly enjoyed the rich jewel tones and the bold gold both were not featured much in other collections during fashion week.
Son Jung Wan used the blues of the Danube River, jungle green, deep purple and cool mint give a fresh feeling and stand out against chalk white and tan neutrals. Metallic threads and sequins bring to mind the glint of the sun, and add unique detailing to each look. Many tangible dualities arise when rough-textured fabrics like hemp are made into sinuous silhouettes. Shapes are soft and feminine in washed linen and sheer silk.

The debut of August Getty collection was magical, every look was gorgeous! The color palate of the spring/summer collection featured various white, pastel, metallic and black ensembles. The tailoring was impeccable adding to the exquisite styling of each model. The collection felt very cohesive including separates to gowns. I felt very privileged to be at their first show, they will be a household name in no time!

August calls upon memories of wildly delightful European Heiresses, Statues and his family’s botanical gardens. He would sit for hours and draw Hydrangeas, Peonies and Wisteria -- flowers that abundantly appear throughout this season’s collection. Glamour, power and prestige push the envelope of Getty’s designs that include drop dead, head turning dresses and gowns. Monochromatic gowns in Black, White, and Oxblood create architectural lines complemented by a palette of Lavender and Muted Rose, while fierce metallics flash light throughout the collection. Fabrications include French custom made lace, leather and silks.

One of my favorite this season was Stella Nolasco. This was her first show in the states and we're bound to see more after this stunning collection. Stella Nolasco experiments with elaborate fabrics made of bright, metallic sequins and sheer, delicate laces to add an element of surprise to her feminine pieces. In tasteful pastels and ivory, Nolasco creates exciting, refreshing textures using thick and thin lace appliques to create form-fitting light gowns that create beautiful movement. Her play on “the visible and invisible” is fascinating to see and interpret with the prevalence of exposed backs and torsos mixed and expertly placed details to maintain lady-like air while having strong character with her daring silhouettes. It truly is a beautiful, Spring dream to see Nolasco’s creations walk down the runway this season.

Gallow Green was the perfect setting of whimsy and garden fantasy for Gigi Burris' new Spring/Summer 2015 "Millinery" Collection. If you haven't been to Gallow Green its a must see, it feels like you've been transported out of New York and back in time. As you can see there were plenty of styles for hat lovers and a few hair accessories for those that are less bold (like myself). The collection was stunning and left me making plans for the next Kentucky Derby hat that I will need next year.

For the SS15 season Burris was drawn to the shade of blue, as seen in Yves Klein’s Anthropometries. Inspiration was also found in the linear movement seen in Robert Mapplethorpe's floral photography and sea urchins. Both hold a sense of tension and delicate texture that the milliner references in the SS15 collection. A palette of black, natural straw, blue and white is met with the elements of sewn shiny Racello Braids, Swiss Star bright straw, ostrich poofs and peacock flue. The SS15 Gigi Burris Millinery collection has a sense of easy elegance and irreverence to it; an emotional reference sourced from 1950's beach photographs and illustrated by the milliner through her whimsical couture feather work fascinators, and wide brimmed straw hats.
