If you didn't know, now you do...the Thre.ad app has officially launched! Document, share, and model street styles wherever you are. The clever tag line is spot style and that's exactly what it was designed for. Everyday, I see so many people on my way out that have a certain flare/swag to their style of dress. Living in Manhattan people watching is by far one of the most interesting things to me. How people put themselves together whether it be good or bad, lol. Just seeing the pairing, placements and color choices inspires me to keep evolving and learning more about fashion and most importantly how to make a look your own. A simple (crowded) subway ride gives me ideas for all sorts of things, from nail color to shoes styles to look for. People strut all around this city in their own creations and expressions of who they are and that's intriguing. Using this app is a great way for getting ideas to incorporate or share your styling tips with friends or the public. The celebration was held at the fab Caravan Studios! I always have a blast there, the dj keeps me dancing, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the bar tender keeps my drink full lol. Yep, no complaints from this girl! If you're not familiar with Caravan...its wardrobing studio which showcases over 100 fashion designers from New York and around the world. They're located right here in the fashion district, housing a wide array of clothes, accessories and jewelry. They also has an "Ulta" beauty station where you can get your hair, makeup and outfit all done so you can look absolutely breathtaking for your next big night event. I watched the Oscars in style this year. I arrived just in time to the Caravan Stylist Studio to see the stars begin to strut down the red carpet. The studio was setup to have a true Oscar experience, fully equipped with a bar (of course) where I promptly got my glass of sauvignon blanc, fun snacks (like pop corn, mini sandwiches & pop chips), racks & racks of clothes (by Carmen Marc Valvo) to try own, complete with shoes & bags, a red carpet with a photo area to document and a beauty station prim/prep your looks to be camera ready. Anything you need it was all here! Check out the pics of the studio and some of the best dressed celebs. Don't forget about Angelina's right leg, lol! You thought she was already famous, but leg alone has 20,000 followers on twitter. Just because it was out like "Hey Girl" all over the red carpet. Enjoy :)
Behind the Seams was officially in one of the cutest stylist studio that I've been to…literally I'd like to move in lol. Sponsored by Hpnotiq everything was covered in crystals with purple and blue accents. My favorite colors and I love to sparkle, so it was off to a great start. There was so much going on…in the far back was the Boy Meets Girl fashion lockers where you could take polaroids with their glamorous accessories. Moving back up towards the front, the dessert station (mini cupcakes, candy bags and the bar of course, decorated by Hpnotiq. All the way up was more of a lounge area. Which held the dj booth flat screen, and a row of windows looking out on midtown east. The dj was playing song after song that made you want to dance. The video of the photo shoots and look book creations for Boy Meets Girl were really cute. Definitely gave me some new ideas for styles in the spring and summer. Had fun trying on the cool eccentric accessories and taking a sassy singer polaroid. There was a great turn out and Stacy Igel was smiling nonstop. It's wonderful to see someone truly enjoying their success and being just plain happy. I would have to agree with her in calling this her "oscar moment". Stacy seeing of all of what you've done you will have many more!
