Well Zac has done it again! Another stunning collection full of chic evening wear, jackets and cocktail dresses. The setting was located in the timeless venue of Grand Central Station in Vanderbilt Hall with a cascading runway under the ever so lovely gold chandelier lights. As if the beauty of the clothes weren't enough, Naomi Campbell strutted down the catwalk in the phenomenal ball gown and once again with Zac Posen himself in the finale walk. Sigh, if I could be breathtaking as Naomi Campbell for just a day...

Skingraft, always a showstopper; using blacks, whites and creams as their base for their designs that could actually be worn during the unbearable temps we have been experiencing. Each season, Skingraft puts out an effortlessly cool collection that is a style of its own. The layering and draping of the scarfs and sweaters add a dramatic effect as the models glided down the runway. As always they used another amazing music mix followed by Marilyn Mason's The Beautiful People during the finale walk.

The Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is inspired by young nomads trekking through the Peruvian mountains in search for new horizons. Also, inspired by the legends of alien activity around Peru, the new collection explores ideas of ancient and complex geometric patterns and brutal statue-like silhouettes.
Shearling. leather, silk, wool jersey, cashmere and hand woven tapestries equip the AW15 Skingraft nomad with a survivalist silhouette that remains soft and refined. I took a trip downtown to the Standard Hotel making a cameo at MADE Fashion Week all for an up close and personal view of the HARBISON FW15 Collection. Although runway shows are exciting, its presentations that allow you a real look and experience with the clothing rather than a fleeting moment down the catwalk. It gives you a chance to admire and appreciate the detail and the beauty in even the simplest of designs. The collection was filled with whites, blacks, grays with pops of bold yellow and red color blocks. HARBISON gave off a sophisticated sporty vibe for their men and women ensembles, especially using footwear by Dr. Martens. I'm sure the models were happy with that choice.

Comfort and classicism…filtered through a modernist lens. Brice Marden's rhythmic renderings, the optimism of “winter bright,” the gravity of Alexander Calder’s sculptures along Storm King’s landscape, the simplicity of a "90s" approach, not to mention Beverly Johnson's late-70s insouciance, all found its way onto the HARBISION FW15 mood board. It’s the "normal of now," if you will.

One of the shows I'm always looking forward to is GEORGINE. For the upcoming fall/winter 2015 collection it was a parade of luxe 70s looks from the models heads to their feet! The show had so much energy and when you thought it was over, their were another set of models draped in fabulous furs. The collection was full of rich jewel tone hues mixed in with some metallics and of course some timeless black ensembles.
Designer Georgine Ratelband continues to wow me with her beautiful creations. Each season her collections increase in beauty and really showcase what New York Fashion Week is all about: beauty and glam of course. The styling is always executed flawlessly, it transports you directly into the setting of her inspiration.

Designer Idan Cohen, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, is known in his home country for his bridal atelier and elegant, sensual eveningwear. On February 14th, the designer realized two of his dreams - marrying his partner Elad Borenstein at the first ever Fashion Week wedding, followed by his first ever fashion show in New York City. The wedding featured singing by “Nashville” duo Lennon & Maisy, who also sat front row at the show.

The AW15 August Getty Atelier collection was all back everything and I loved it every moment of it! I found the collection to be rocker chic with its use leather, cut outs, lace and exceptional details throughout. This was August's second collection to be featured at New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. This was a more bold and edgy collection than his previous debut filled with delicate and sexy dresses. He's quickly turning into one of my most anticipated and favorite designers to experience during fashion week.

Cynthia Rowley decided to break from the mold and debut a new concept...shooting a video for her new Fall-Winter 2015 Collection and releasing it during New York Fashion Week! In a dark smokey fog setting with wind and lights as the models twist and turn illuminating the glamorous fabrics and the extraordinary details within each piece. I love the rich and dark colors used with a hint of sparkles and the Digital Runway Show makes the collection look like art. Truly stunning, bravo Cynthia!
Since there was no live show, she did host an awesome after party serving an eclectic mix of Veuve Champagne and jelly shots while we were able to mix and mingle to the DJ's beats and view the collection video. I wonder who is going to try steal this idea for the next season...

As always the Desigual show embodied cheer, fun and happiness as each model strut their stuff down the runway. The collection was full of bright colors and funky patterns making the colder days of winter more of an afterthought. You might recognize Chantelle Winnie from Top Model, now she's the brand ambassador for Desigual. A perfect choice for inspiring people to love their imperfections and to grow to appreciate them as something that makes you uniquely beautiful!
Fall 2015 was inspired by the creative process of putting a collection together and is a tribute to what happens in the design atelier. Abstract paintings, photographs of Africa, a voyage to northern Europe and a landscape full of flowers are the root of the design inspiration: One that is full of creativity and originality.
The collection featured geometric motifs in black and white, multi-colored cardigans with a Scandinavian feel and structured dresses dipped in watercolors. Along with floral skirts in printed tulle make up the line alongside cocoon coats in true Lacroix style. The result is an eclectic and sophisticated mix that's sure to catch the eye of women everywhere. Per usual, I've made a few collages of my top picks from the show and included my Instagram pic from the close.
An afternoon of viewing the new F/W15 collection of Zac Posen, is an afternoon well spent! Before the craziness of fashion week I was able to stop by the Zac Posen showroom to get a glimpse into the future. As expected the collection was incredible; filled with luxe materials and exquisite beading. I could get lost in there all day! Being that its been an arctic tundra and I have an affinity towards outwear, I fell in love with the jackets in this collection. Many pieces followed his simple and elegant theme but there were some more wild and flirty items that rounded the collection to offer something for every woman. Hope you guys enjoy the collection as much as I do!
