Food Review: Fire and Ice at David Burke Kitchen

It never rains on my parade, you'll always see me out enjoying myself! Like this past Wednesday for the Fire and Ice party at David Burke Kitchen in The James NY. My friend and I had a blast. The atmosphere was lovely, bewitching drinks, and delectable apps! We rushed inside from the rain, where were greeted with the bbq foie gras push pops. Unfortunately, this was one of the few appetizers I wasn't able to get a photo of... After getting upstairs to the restaurant, putting away our wet coats, and trying to deflate my hair, we finally went to the bar for the themed drinks (pictured below). I myself like to think I'm a self proclaimed hot chocolate connoisseur :) so how could I resist the fire hot chocolate. It was so many things...gigantic, chocolatey, minty, spicy and amply topped with whipped cream. Definitely felt the heat in my throat from the cayenne pepper giving it the name Fire. We found a prime time table near the front where we were served first! This is key when taking pictures of  the presentation/food styling. I tried everything lol, even had 2nds when offered. Can't say no when there's good food at stake. The outside balconies were closed due to the weather, but it didn't damper the party inside. I can't wait to go back when it's time for al fresco dinning. Enjoy the pics!!!
