Prior to this event I didn't know much about Karmin, but after attending I'm addicted to their music. Steve Madden is hosting a summer music series along with Spin magazine to showcase up and coming talent. It's brought attention to be stars like Katy Perry, Jazmine Sullivan and many others. Hosted at the Steve Madden store on the lower east side in Manhattan, which I actually shop at. Right after winter they have the biggest sales. Racks and racks of shoes and buy one get one 50% off…can't beat that! Anyways back to the show…my only complaint would be that it took a while for her to be on stage, but she was in the building taking photos and talking to people which makes it far less annoying than waiting for someone to show up. Her voice was amazing and sang live with her band for every song. As some of you may know, they're know for their covers of songs. They performed "Look At Me Now" by Chris Brown and it was fanfreakintastic lol. I was surprised how good of a rapper she was. Especially with the Busta Rhymes part, you know how fast his verse is. The show was packed with so much energy and completely engaged the crowd in the front, back and side to side. I'm sure will be seeing more and more of Karmin in the near future.
