Last night I attended the album release party for
Rihanna's new Unapologetic CD at the 40/40 Club. The party kicked off at 10... being that Rihanna & Jay-Z were coming this was not a time to be late. So at 10 I stepped in the building, lol (insert Don't be Tardy for the Party sound bite). D'USSÉ made a delicious cocktail "The Code" D'USSÉ VSOP Cognac, DISARONNO and fresh pineapple juice :-p just might be my new fav drink. My friend and I secured a primetime spot overlooking the lower bar area and plenty of plasma tvs to watch the Nets vs Lakers game, sip cocktails, dance to the music & people watch. We actually ended up sitting next to the hilarious and super nice Tony Rock. Its always a pleasant surprise when celebs are normal and approachable! As the night went on it was the countdown to spot Rihanna…which didn't happen till 2:30; even Jay-Z got there before her! Thank god I had a seat lol, no way I would have been standing that long in my heels. The club was packed and full of anticipation, especially when any Rihanna song came on! If you haven't purchased Unapologetic, you should! It's no surprise that she doesn't disappoint new Rihanna anthems will be taking over the airwaves soon.
