Its never just a Tuesday in NYC…and the Absolut Tune Launch definitely showed us "Sparkle and Spirit" for the launch of their new blend vodka and sparkling wine. It was pretty delicious, I choice to have it chilled and tried it straight. The night also featured Solange (DJ) and Charlotte Ronson (Designer) spanning across the entire rooftop of the Standard Hotel using both The Boom Boom Room and Le Baine. As if that wasn't enough there was a surprise performance by the adorable Rita Ora. Her voice was amaze and she was really sweet when I had a chance to speak with her. What can I say…another great night of what Manhattan has to offer.

Friday's are already hands down the best day of the work week, but now for your lunch break pleasure Flavorpill is throwing a dance party series (with free lunch). Three separate fridays with djs, dance floor, Absolut drinks and ummm free lunch! I don't usually take a lunch break, but I couldn't resist. I escaped my day job went down to Le Poisson Rouge and enter the mid-day rave lol. All I can say is I wish I could have stayed longer! I got in and everything was lit up in the black lights, people dancing with huge Absolut glow sticks, and tasty cocktails. In other words a perfect way to start the weekend! Like I said I couldn't stay long, just enough time to get my drinks, shake my a** to a couple songs and try not to hit people with my glow-stick (didn't fully succeed on that mission, hahaha).
When people are able to let loose and just be themselves, I find myself watching in amazement. Being brave enough to put themselves out there to have their talents showcased and the eccentric antics that come along with it. Encore is exposing us to new underground artists that let us know who they are, what their music is about and the journey they're on. The series gives you an exclusive/private look into what makes these people potential stars. The way its shot was very interesting; the colors, angles, and crowd reaction all were inspiring. Growing up I was never quite sure what I wanted to be, so I love seeing how sure and driven others can be. It gives me motivation to grow and expand my interests and goals to achieve for myself. Absolut sponsored the screening supplying a delicious line of cocktails along with small bites to eat. As you know...events with food make me happy, lol. We were able to see 2 episodes from the upcoming 'ENCORE! Sessions'. I tend to be drawn to bizarre things like how Theophilus London wore pants (they might have been leggings) resembling the hamburglar and when The Virgins spoke during their private interview they were smoking (just cigarettes) and drinks beers. Very rarely (in my opinion) do you see artists in a personal (televised) interview drinking and smoking here in the states. The premiere as a whole seemed real and genuine, the members of Encore were in full support of their selections and expressed full admiration of their talents.
